The Ellis Jr. High Girls Basketball team traveled to Victoria

The Ellis Jr. High Girls Basketball team traveled to Victoria for their final games of the season.  Ellis came away disappointed in losing to a hot-hitting Victoria team for both of the varsity and J.V. games.  In the varsity game, Victoria led at the half by seven points but continued to add to their score by hitting shot after shot in the second half adding 24 points to their 18 points at the half while Ellis was not able to hit shots only adding eight points with the final score Victoria 42 to Ellis 19.

Leading scorer for Ellis was Emily Eck with 12 points, Hannah Schiel had five and Kylee Pfeifer had two.  Leading rebounder for Ellis was MaKenna Kohl with four followed by Pfeifer with three, Myah McCoy, Schiel and Harlie Bittel each had to and Eck added one. 

In the J.V. game, Victoria led Ellis 13 to seven at the half.  The final score ended up Victoria 28 to Ellis 15.  Ellis was plagued by similar scoring issues as the varsity.  Leading scorers for Ellis was KayDawn Haag with five followed by Braelyn Born with four, Trinity Kohlrus had three points, McCoy had two and Macy Eberle added one.  Leading rebounder for Ellis was Kohlrus with nine boards, Haag had six, Born had four and Jennifer Cunningham and Chelsea Herrington each had one board.
