EJH Girls Vs. Stockton

The Ellis Jr. High Girls Basketball team traveled to Stockton on Dec. 13th and brought home three wins.  In the varsity game, the Ellis girls developed a quick lead 14 to 3 at the first quarter.  Ellis continued to hold Stockton to three points and went into half leading the Tigers 20 to 3.  Ellis continued to build on their lead and was able to play everyone throughout the game particularly the fourth quarter.  Ellis came away with the win, 36 to 7. Leading scorer for Ellis was Emily Eck with 16 points, Kylee Pfeifer had eight, Hannah Schiel had six, Myah McCoy had four and Macy Eberle had two.  Leading rebounder for Ellis was Harlie Bittel with eight, Emily Eck and KayDawn Haag each with six, Pfeifer with four, Eberle and Emily James with two, McCoy and MaKenna Kohl each had one.  Ellis out-rebounded Stockton 30 to 19.

In the J.V. game, took a strong lead from the beginning, leading Stockton 20 to 3 at the half.  Stockton was only able to add one additional point in the second half for a final score of Ellis 33 to Stockton 4.  Leading scorers for Ellis was Jennifer Cunninghom and Braelyn Born each with eight, Trinity Kohlrus had six, McCoy and Haag each had four, Anna Moore had two and Eberle had one point.  Leading rebounder was Born with 10 followed by Kohlrus with nine.  Haag added seven boards, James had five, Cunningham and McCoy each had three and Eberle had one.  Ellis out-rebounded Stockton 38 to 13 boards.

In the C-game, Ellis held Stockton to two points and Ellis ended up with 14 for the final score Ellis 14 to Stockton 2.  Leading scorer for Ellis was Moore with eight points, Chelsea Herrington had four and Kohlrus had two.  Leading rebounder for Ellis was Kohlrus with eight, Herrington with six, Toccara Boyce with five and Born and Moore each had one. 

Ellis will play their final game of the season on Dec. 17th at Victoria.
